Ripples Around Point is one of my signature, best selling artworks since I created this image way back in 2002. The sparkle in the water, the turquoise shallows of Sandy Point and the deepest of deep blue skies contribute to the timeless aesthetic of this favourite image.
Personally I love the dynamic of the ripple patterning and the sense of kinetic movement that this image embodies. Never exhausted, the beautiful cathartic water movement never fails to provide solace and tranquility.
Ripples Around Point combines with Sea Sky and Sky Sea to offer a vibrant Triptych series celebrating the incredible clarity and depth of blue sky and turquoise water colour that I experienced on this particular trip along the Ningaloo Coast.
The sparkle of the sandy shallows and the ripples of water patterning across the surface highlight the mesmerising contrast to the deepest, deep blue sky.
The Ningaloo Coast always inspires with its beauty and contrast but this particular trip the sky and the “blueness” was as intense as I have ever witnessed in many trips to this special place.
